i have recently discovered a lot of st back in the publishing of my book. firstly, i have been told by the poetry society that i am not under any circumstance to pay for publishing, i have been told to find a literary agent, (which isn't easy) no one seems to represent poets, and i have to make a name for myself to be able to get published, i have to enter as many competitions as i possibly can. so, from the looks of it, my plan to have the book published this year is not going to happen. i cant believe how disappointed i am.
